Just when i thought can save some $ taking budget airline, a can of drink(or even a bottle of mineral water) cost S$3.00. We actually saved about S$200+ on the airfare when we changed from China airlines to JetStar. Decided not to take the food as we have stuffed ourselves with MacDonalds back at the airport.
