Last day at Holiday Club

All good things must come to an end. So today is our last lesson at snowboarding before we return our gear and bid farewell to our friends whom we have met during our 3 days here.

Christmas dinner

Over here, most places close by noon time. So after snowboarding lesson, we got on the bus, back to Holiday Club and into Sauna World and the indoor pool again. Thereafter we went for their dinner buffet, it ain't cheap but i get to experience what they eat during Christmas and it's a wide spread of meat and raw stuff.

Snowboard Cam

Strapped the camera on myself and experience the thrills of snowboarding downhill and crashing! Ouch! Butt still sore from yesterday snowboarding lesson and today more!

Snowboarding lesson 2

Here i am still trying to control my snowboard. Slight better than yesterday but still fall as usual. And the last photo is with my snowboarding instructor.

Uphill then downhill (wEeEeEeEeEeE......CRASH!)

Today is lesson 2 of snowboarding, learning the most important thing, BRAKES!

Holiday Club Sauna World

I am now in the Sauna World of Holiday Club in Sweden. Here you get to experience different types of sauna from -10°C to 80°C. This is just one of the rooms.

My first snowboarding lesson in Sweden

Signed up with a Ski School here in Sweden for 3 days of snowboarding. Rented my snowboard, boots and got my snow pass before heading uphill. And for today at my first Snowboarding lesson out in the open with a temperature of -9°C, i've learnt to strap myself to the snowboard, move S-L-O-W-L-Y with it, take the lift and slide downhill.

Time to get a board

After breakfast, i went to get my ski pass and snow boots and snowboards. Off to our first lesson in snowboarding.

Back to Sweden

I'm now taking a plane back to Sweden and then to catch a train to Holiday Club for snowboarding and spending Christmas there too.

Hallgrimskirkja, Reykjavik

We are now at Hallgrímskirkja (Hallgrim's Church) in Reyjavik. It is the tallest and most striking church in Iceland. At this moment, they are having major construction on the external walls of the church but it is still open for visitors.

Leavin the lagoon

Enough of soaking in the Blue Lagoon. I'm now heading back to the changing room to wash up and grab some food.

I am now in the middle of the pool where surrounded by hot steam and water.

Finally i managed to use my underwater casing for camera. I've just arrived in Blue Lagoon and this is where you get to swim or soaked in the open, surrounded by snow.

Finally we are here at the well known, Blue Lagoon. It communicates world of healing power, wellness and beauty, is founded on a unique source of geothermal seawater that originates in Iceland's extreme environment.

Saga Circle

The next day tour, Saga Circle, stays on the west coast of Iceland and north of Reykajvik. We had Icelandic Soup and I also got up close with the Icelandic horses.

South Shore

Today we head on to another day tour, South Shore. South Iceland is a lowland region of lush farmland, striking waterfalls, sandy coastline, glaciers and quaint towns and villages. We also got to see the unique black sands of the Icelandic coastline.
